Jackson, Minter named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week
PERKINSTON — Kelsi Jackson and Justin Minter have been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for Dec. 2-8.
Jackson, a freshman guard from South Jones, averaged 9.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a pair of wins for undefeated Gulf Coast. She had seven points, five rebounds and three steals in a 41-31 win at Delgado, then added 11 points, seven assists and five rebounds in a 61-51 win over Gadsden State.
Minter, a freshman guard from Birmingham, Ala., led undefeated Gulf Coast with 15 points in a 76-59 win at Delgado. He also added four rebounds, two assists and three steals.
