Robb named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week
PERKINSTON — Hayden Robb has been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for March 9-15.
Robb, a freshman right-hander from Vancleave, struck out 10 in a dominating six shutout innings to beat Nunez 6-0. He allowed just three hits.
Also nominated:
Nick Sims, a sophomore infielder from New Hope, batted .556 with a double, a home run and six RBI, including the game-winner in a 9-8 victory over Nunez. His walk-off, bases-loaded HBP forced in the winning run to cap a 3-for-5 game that included a homer and a double. He went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the nightcap, a 6-0 win.
