House named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week

PERKINSTON — Deondre House has been named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 14-20. 

House, a freshman running back from Senatobia, ran for 138 yards on just 10 carries in No. 1 Mississippi Gulf Coast's 25-3 win over Pearl River. He had a 67-yard run that started a three-score outburst in the third quarter which clinched the game.

Also nominated:

Diwun Black, a freshman defensive back from Forest, returned an interception for a touchdown in No. 1 Mississippi Gulf Coast's 25-3 win over Pearl River. His 34-yard pick-six broke the game open, and he added five tackles, 1 tackle for loss and two passes broken up.
