White named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week
PERKINSTON — Daphane White has been named the MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week for Jan. 20-26.
White, a sophomore center from St. Martin, put up her eighth and ninth double-doubles of the season as Mississippi Gulf Coast went 1-1. She had 16 points and 17 rebounds in a 56-55 win at Pearl River, then had 10 points with 11 boards in a 60-46 loss to No. 11 Jones. White blocked three shots in each game.
