White wins MACJC Player of the Week again
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's Daphane White has been named MACJC Player of the Week for her double double-double last week.
White, a sophomore center from St. Martin, averaged 17.0 points and 14.0 rebounds and chalked up two more double-doubles in a 2-0 week. She started the week with an 18-point, 16-rebound effort at Coastal Alabama-South in a 49-48 win, and finished it with a 16-point, 13-rebound game against Delgado in a 57-41 win at Perk. White blocked six shots in two games, including four against Coastal-Alabama.
It's the second time in the first three weeks the honor has been awarded White has claimed it. She's now eligible for the NJCAA Player of the Week award.
