Hunt named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week
Mason Hunt has been named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week for Sept. 4-10.
Hunt, a freshman from Stone High, had a near-perfect night kicking and punting for Mississippi Gulf Coast against East Mississippi. He nailed his only field goal attempted from 25 yards, and he averaged 44.5 yards on four punts. Three of them were downed inside the 20, and the dangerous Lions return game wasn't allowed a return. Hunt also averaged 51.3 yards on three kickoffs.
