Gulf Coast women lose close match to JCJC

PERKINSTON – The Mississippi Gulf Coast women's tennis team couldn't pull out a couple of close matches Wednesday at the MGCCC Tennis Complex, dropping a 6-3 decision to Jones County.

"We're hanging with them," Gulf Coast coach Gary Bourgeois said. "I think we'll be OK once everybody gets better and is able to handle some fear."

The Lady Bulldogs got wins from the No. 2 doubles team of Karah Younger and Jasmine Sartin and singles wins from No. 1 Paulina Estrada and No. 4 Lexi Johnson.

Gulf Coast (2-2 MACJC) returns to action with a pair of road matches next week. The Lady Bulldogs play at Northeast on Tuesday and at Itawamba the next day.
