Opportunity knocks: Former MGCCC player, Tramain "Otis" Jacobs, gets his chance with Baltimore Ravens

Tramain "Otis" Jacobs, former Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College cornerback, has been promoted from undrafted rookie on the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad after the team cut Chykie Brown.  That means Jacobs now has a shot at the active roster.

Even though the 5-foot-11 Texas A&M graduate didn't make the 53-man roster for the Ravens in September, the coaches must have liked his competitiveness and raw skills because they kept him on the practice squad.

Jacobs signed with the Ravens as a rookie free agent in May of this year after appearing in 26 games in two seasons with the Aggies.  During his time at A&M, he totaled 55 tackles (39 solo), 13 PD and 2 INTs, racking up a career-high 33 tackles (23 solo), 9 PD and 1 INT in 13 games a senior.

Prior to his time with the Aggies, Jacobs played with MGCCC, where he secured 34 tackles, 13 PD and 2 INTs in 2011, with 2 FRs (returned one for a TD), and amassed 616 yards and 1 TD on 28 punts and KORs. Otis played with Gulf Coast in 2010 and 2011.
