Inchima, Gore nab MACCC awards

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast swept two big men's soccer wins that helped put the Bulldogs back into a tie for first-place. 

The Bulldogs also swept MACCC Player of the Week honors, with Christian Inchima picking up the Offensive award and Isaiah Gore winning Keeper honors 

Inchima, a sophomore midfielder from Brampton, Ontario, scored both goals for then-No. 10 Mississippi Gulf Coast in a 2-0 win at No. 6 Pearl River. He also picked up an assist in a 2-0 win at Meridian.

Gore, a sophomore from Laurel, made an array of spectacular saves for Gulf Coast in a shutout at No. 6 Pearl River. He had nine saves in a 2-0 at Poplarville and blanked Meridian for his 80 minutes in a combined 2-0 shutout.

Gulf Coast moved into a tie with Pearl River and Jones for the top spot in the MACCC.
