Barker grabs another MACCC Player of the Week

PERKINSTON — Fabien Barker grabbed his second MACCC Player of the Week award of the season thanks to a prolific two games. 

Barker, a freshman forward from Madison, had a hat trick in a 7-0 win over Copiah-Lincoln and had a goal and an assist during Gulf Coast's second-half rally to beat Jones 3-2.

The Bulldogs trailed Jones by two goals at halftime before rallying to win a key MACCC South matchup.

Teammates James Redmond and Christian Inchima have also won Player of the Week. Isaiah Gore won Keeper of the Week last week.

The Bulldogs need a win or tie against Pearl River in their last regular-season game this Friday at Perk to win the South title and host the state tournament next week.
