No. 13 MGCCC will celebrate Sophomore Day

PERKINSTON — Sophomores on the No. 13 Mississippi Gulf Coast men's tennis team will play their last home conference match on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs entertain East Central at 2 p.m.

Gonzalo Cotter (So., Valencia, Spain/IVLA), Vicente Faria (So., Lisbon, Portugal/Escola Secundaria de Fonseca Benevides), Jeremiah Layton (So., Brookhaven/Brookhaven) and Smith Walker (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) will be saluted before the match.

• MGCCC: 9-1/8-1 MACCC, 2^nd place in conference
• East Central: 6-7, 3-6 MACCC, T-7^th place in conference

Last Time Out

• MGCCC swept Southwest Mississippi 9-0 at Perk on March 21.
• East Central lost 9-0 on Friday to Itawamba in Decatur.

Previous Meeting

On April 18, 2024, Gulf Coast beat East Central 5-0 in the NJCAA Region 23 quarterfinals in Hattiesburg.
