Markeisha Watson led Mississippi Gulf Coast with 16 points as the Lady Bulldogs fought through foul trouble to down Bishop State 72-48 in Mobile on Thursday.
"The girls overcame a lot to win this one on the road," Gulf Coast coach Jason Conner said. "Everybody got a chance to play and everybody scored."
Kailin Young added 14 points and a team-high six rebounds, with Ka'Nosha Fairley getting 13 points. Whitney Williams had five assists.
Gulf Coast's inside players were hampered by fouls, and rebounded from a 23-17 deficit at the end of the first quarter to lead 29-26 at the half and slowly pull away.
The Lady Bulldogs (4-1) return to action after the Thanksgiving break when they host Jones in the first MACJC game of the season on Dec. 3. Tipoff is a 5:30 p.m.
