Markeisha Watson led Mississippi Gulf Coast with 13 points in a 73-48 loss at Copiah-Lincoln on Monday night.
The Lady Bulldogs (9-7, 1-6 MACJC South) started well offensively, trailing 20-13 after the first quarter. But the Lady Wolves (14-2, 5-2) switched to a zone and started to pull away.
"I thought frustration set in, but I thought we finished well," Gulf Coast coach Jason Conner said. "We fought and executed well late. I thought our kids didn't quit."
Courtney White pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Gulf Coast. Tiana Dampeer and Courtney White chipped in with seven points each.
The Lady Bulldogs return to action Thursday at Jones. Gulf Coast returns to Perkinston on Feb. 1 when Meridian visits.
