MGCCC men entertain Meridian

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast tries to get its second MACJC South victory of the season and keep its slim postseason hopes alive Friday when Meridian visits Perkinston.

Kickoff at Bary Thrash Field is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed at https://livestream.com/MGCCCBulldogs/events/8396765.

The Bulldogs need to win their final three games of the season and get some help to qualify for the playoffs.

  • MGCCC: 4-8/1-4, 4th place in MACJC South 

  • Meridian: 2-10/0-4, 5th place in MACJC South 


Last Time Out

  • MGCCC lost 3-0 at Pearl River on Tuesday night.
  • Meridian lost 7-0 to Angelina College in Poplarville on Sunday.


Previous Meeting

Gulf Coast shut out the Eagles 4-0 last month in Meridian. Matt Roberts (Fr., Portsmouth England/Portsmouth Grammar School), C.J. Smith (So., Brampton Ontario/David Suzuki Secondary School), Noah Spear (Fr., Brookhaven/Brookhaven) and Peyton Younger (Fr., Gulfport/West Harrison) scored for the Bulldogs, and Kyle Kellems (Fr., Madison/Hartfield Academy) made six saves.
