Gulf Coast closes out home slate

PERKINSTON —  The Mississippi Gulf Coast men's soccer team plays its last home game of the season Tuesday when Jones visits.

The game at Bary Thrash Field is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. It will be streamed at https://livestream.com/MGCCCBulldogs/events/8404830

The Bulldogs have not been officially eliminated from the MACJC playoffs, but the path to get there is all but impossible to traverse. They'll certainly need to win their last two games to get there.

Last Time Out

• MGCCC blasted Meridian 6-1 Friday behind a hat trick by C.J. Smith (So., Brampton Ontario/David Suzuki Secondary School).

• Jones defeated Southwest 3-1 Wednesday to extend its win streak to six.

Previous Meeting

Jones defeated Gulf Coast 5-3 in Ellisville on Sept. 7. Matt Roberts (Fr., Portsmouth England/Portsmouth Grammar School) scored twice for Gulf Coast, including a goal just before halftime to draw the Bulldogs even at 2, but they couldn't keep up in the second half.
