15 Sophomores to be saluted Tuesday

PERKINSTON — No. 7 Mississippi Gulf Coast will send off a successful group of men's soccer players Tuesday when the Bulldogs celebrate Sophomore Night at Bary Thrash Field.

It will be a key game in the conference standings, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. Gulf Coast and No. 15 Hinds are tied for third, and the Bulldogs will be looking for revenge after falling 3-0 to the Eagles earlier in the season in a non-conference matchup.

Buy your tickets ahead of time to save money. It costs $7 for adults or $5 for youth online, or $10 and $7 at the gate. Tickets are available at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets, and the game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.

The Bulldogs will be saying goodbye to a sophomore class that helped win the MACCC championship last year and is near the top of the standings again this year. They include Donovan Allen (So., Byram/Terry), Jayden Armstrong (So., Southaven/DeSoto Central), Connor Goodman (So., Ocean Springs/Ocean Springs), Luke Hopkins (So., Clinton/Clinton), Nygel Jobe (So., Brandon/Brandon), Alan Loya (So., Horn Lake/Horn Lake), Mills Sheridan (So., Flowood/Northwest Rankin), Victor Moerck (So., Vaerlose, Denmark/Lyngby Handelsgymnasium), Kai Moody (So., Biloxi/D'Iberville), David Ruiz Ospina (So., Manizales, Colombia/Gimnasio del Pacifico), Bryon Shepard (So., Gulfport/St. Patrick), Kade Smith (So., London, England/Whitmore), Brant Tarter (So., Carriere/Pearl River Central), Hayden Thomas (So., Clinton/Clinton), and Mark Wilson (So., Ridgeland/St. Andrews).
