Ruiz Ospina collects another MACCC honor
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast's David Ruiz Ospina is going to start running out of room to put his awards.
The sophomore Manizales, Colombia, picked up his third MACCC Keeper of the Week prize of the season Monday after voting done by the conference's sports information directors.
He had five saves to shut out No. 15 Hinds 1-0 on Sophomore Night last Thursday.
Ruiz Ospina now has five conference awards in his career, and he'll be eligible for his four NJCAA Keeper of the Week honor. That award will be announced Wednesday.
