Hearn, Harwell named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week

PERKINSTON — Jacobi Hearn and Kaitlyn Harwell have been named MGCCC Student-Athletes of the Week for Sept. 17-23.

Jacobi Hearn, a sophomore linebacker from Clinton, had 11 tackles and 3 assists in Mississippi Gulf Coast's 16-13 loss at Jones. He registered three sacks.

Harwell, a sophomore forward from Stone High, scored in both Gulf Coast games this week. She had a goal and assist against No. 14 Holmes, and added another goal against Southwest Tennessee.

Also nominated:

Terrion Avery, a sophomore running back from Stone High, ran for 120 yards while averaging 7.5 yards per carry in Gulf Coast's 16-13 loss at Jones. He scored one touchdown and had a team-high four catches for 23 yards.
