Simms named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week
PERKINSTON — Tafari Simms has been named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week for Nov. 19-25.
Simms, a freshman forward from Hamilton, Ontario, scored in double digits in both Mississippi Gulf Coast games as the Bulldogs split. He had 12 points and 7 rebounds in a 78-52 win over Baton Rouge, and 16 points in a 65-63 loss to Southern-Shreveport.
