Coulter, Houston named Bulldogs of the Week

PERKINSTON — JP Coulter and Jacylin Houston have been named Bulldogs of the Week for Nov. 6-12.

Coulter, a freshman wide receiver from Ocean Springs, had 8 catches for 95 yards in No. 6 Gulf Coast's 33-21 loss at No. 8 East Mississippi in the MACCC semifinal.

Houston, a freshman guard from Louisville, came off the bench and scored 16 points in 23 minutes during Gulf Coast's 85-52 rout of Jones. She shot 7-of-9 from the field, making both 3-point attempts, and pulled down 7 rebounds.

Also nominated:

Javen Gibson, a freshman defensive lineman from Church Point, La., had seven total tackles at East Mississippi. He also had 1.5 sacks.

Javeon Gordon, a sophomore guard from Mount Olive, had 18 points and six rebounds in an 86-77 loss to Jones. He made 4-of-7 attempts from behind the arc, and four of his rebounds were on the offensive end.
