Rouse named MACCC Pitcher of the Week
PERKINSTON — Karley Rouse did something no other pitcher had done this year, and it's helped earn her the title MACCC Pitcher of the Week.
She shut out then-No. 3 Jones for the first time, throwing a three-hitter for her 14th win of the season. Rouse struck out nine Bobcats in the 4-0 win.
She also gave up just two earned runs in a 4-2 loss at then-No. 8 Northwest Mississippi. She held the Rangers to six hits.
Rouse is the second Gulf Coast pitcher to earn the award, joining Olivia Falcon. Rouse is now eligible for NJCAA weekly honors.
