PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will celebrate Sophomore Day and Military + First Responders Appreciation Day during Wednesday's critical doubleheader against East Central.
The salute to the military and first responders will take place 15 minutes before the first pitch of the 2 p.m. doubleheader at Ross-Smith Field. Sophomore Day ceremonies will be held after the first game.
Buy your tickets ahead of time to save money. It costs $7 for adults or $5 for youth online, or $10 and $7 at the gate. Tickets are available at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets, and the game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch. Current and former military members and first responders will be admitted for free.
The Bulldogs have clinched a spot in the postseason and will be seeded no worse than ninth. They still hope to climb into the top five to avoid a play-in game before the Region 23 Tournament starts.

On April 3, 2024, Gulf Coast and East Central split a doubleheader in Decatur, with the Bulldogs bouncing back from a 4-3 loss to win 6-5.
