Bulldogs back in action Saturday afternoon

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast resumes its men's basketball schedule Saturday with the first game of 2019 when the Bulldogs entertain Bishop State.

Tipoff at the Weathers-Wentzell Center is scheduled for 4 p.m. Gulf Coast is riding a four-game win streak.

  • Gulf Coast cruised past Delgado 84-64 exactly one month before the Bishop State clash. DaJuan Moorer (So., Pensacola, Fla./Pensacola Catholic)  had 18 points and Phoenix Ford (Fr., St. Petersburg, Fla./St. Petersburg)  grabbed 19 rebounds

  • Bishop State lost 72-70 at Meridian on Dec. 6. Richard Lockett had 14 points, and Jordon Parks had 10 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Previous Meeting

Gulf Coast beat the Wildcats 83-62 in Mobile on Nov. 5. LaRaymond Spivery (So., Lucedale /George County) led the Bulldogs with 17 points.
