Gulf Coast tries to bounce back from 1st South loss

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast looks to bounce back from its first division loss of the season Thursday with a trip to Jones.

The Bulldogs lost to archrival Pearl River on Tuesday to fall into a second-place tie with the Bobcats in the MACJC South. Tipoff in Ellisville is set for 7:30 p.m.

Last Time Out

  • MGCCC lost 73-63 to Pearl River. Keevon Oney (So., Gulfport/Gulfport) had 15 points to lead the Bulldogs.
  • Jones scored 11 of the first 12 points in overtime and won 86-78 at Southwest on Tuesday. Galen Alexander had 22 points to lead the Bobcats.


Previous Meeting

Dedoch Chan had 24 points to lead Gulf Coast to a 71-63 come-from-behind win at Jones last Feb. 15. MGCCC was down 15 with 13:20 to play before surging to victory.
