Gulf Coast plays Shreveport in region opener

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will play Southern-Shreveport in the first game of the NJCAA Region 23 Men's Basketball Tournament next week in Clinton.
The teams are scheduled to tip off Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs (19-5) are the sixth seed in the tournament, and they'll play Southern-Shreveport (10-11). The teams met once during the regular season, with the Jaguars winning 65-63 on the second day of the MGCCC Thanksgiving Classic.
