Gulf Coast falls at No. 3 PRCC

Mississippi Gulf Coast lost its first game of the season Tuesday, falling 82-56 against No. 3 Pearl River in Poplarville.

The Bulldogs (12-1, 4-1 MACJC South) fall into sole possession of second place in the division. Pearl River is 13-0, 5-0.

Gulf Coast scored the first bucket off the second half to cut its deficit to 33-30, the saw PRCC rip off 13 straight points on the way to victory. The Bulldogs trailed by 21 midway through the second half, cut it to 13 with seven minutes to play but never got closer.

Gulf Coast returns to action Thursday when Jones visits Perkinston. Tipoff at the Weathers-Wentzell Center is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., with the game streamed at https://livestream.com/MGCCCBulldogs/events/8967430.
