Bulldogs close out regular-season Thursday

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will celebrate Sophomore Night on Thursday with the regular-season finale at the Weathers-Wentzell Center.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to tip-off against Hinds at 7:30 p.m. The game will be streamed at https://livestream.com/MGCCCBulldogs/events/9004415.

Gulf Coast still has a narrow path to the postseason predicated on winning that game. The Bulldogs also need Southwest to lose to East Central and Jones to lose to Copiah-Lincoln.

Regardless, it will be the final home game for six sophomores: Colby Cooke (So., Laurel/Laurel), Mykah Brown (So., Petal/Petal), Dillyn Neely (So., Biloxi/Biloxi), Teh'Juan Powell (So., Salem/Conyers, Ga.), A.J. Banks (So., Pearl River Central/Carriere) and Xavier Bass (So., Vancleave/Vancleave).

• MGCCC: 14-7/6-7 MACJC South, 5th place in division
• Hinds: 13-7/8-5 MACJC South, T-2nd place in division

Last Time Out

• MGCCC dropped its fourth straight game Monday, losing 86-63 at Jones.
• Hinds beat East Central 73-68 at Utica on Thursday.

Previous Meeting

Gulf Coast beat Hinds 70-69 on a floater by Dillyn Neely (So., Biloxi/Biloxi) at Utica on Jan. 27.
