Gulf Coast men 2nd midway through South play

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast opens the second half of the MACJC South schedule Thursday alone in second place in the division.

The Bulldogs head to Decatur for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff against East Central. The game will be streamed at https://www.eccc.edu/eccc-media.

Gulf Coast will play two more road games after the trip to face the Warriors, and the Bulldogs will have played six of their previous seven away from Perk by the end of the run.

Last Time Out

  • MGCCC got a floater from Dillyn Neely (So., Biloxi/Biloxi) with 6.2 seconds left to beat Hinds 70-69 on Monday. D'yasmond Booker (Fr., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) had 26 points and 11 rebounds.
  • East Central lost 84-68 at Southwest on Monday. Kareen Thompson had 14 points to lead the Warriors.

Previous Meeting

Gulf Coast beat East Central 102-90 on Dec. 9 in Perkinston to open division play. Neely had 29 points, including 7-of-9 shooting from the 3-point arc.
