PERKINSTON — Because of wet conditions in Moorhead, Mississippi Gulf Coast will host Saturday's doubleheader against Mississippi Delta.
The first MACCC contest of the season for both squads will start at 3 p.m. It will be streamed from Ken "Curly" Farris Field at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.

- MGCCC lost a pair of non-conference games Tuesday at Perk, falling 12-7 to No. 9 Meridian and 4-1 to Holmes.
- Delta lost a pair of non-conference games Wednesday in Jackson, losing 8-5 to Jones and 5-4 to Itawamba.
Previous Meeting
On April 29, 2022, Gulf Coast closed out the regular season with a 9-6 and 8-1 sweep of Delta at Ken "Curly" Farris Field. That clinched a postseason berth for the Bulldogs.

- Sean Smith (So., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) is tied for the NJCAA lead in home runs (10) with teammate Charlie Keller. Smith is tied for the lead in RBI (30) and he leads all players with 40-plus at-bats in hitting (.508). He's tied for the lead in slugging (1.115).
- Smith leads the MACCC in batting average (.508), home runs (10), RBI (30) and slugging (1.115).
- Charlie Keller (Fr., Mobile, Ala./Mobile Christian) is tied for the NJCAA lead in home runs (10) with teammate Sean Smith. He's fourth in slugging (.914) among hitters with 40-plus at-bats.
- Keller leads the MACCC in home runs (10) and is second in slugging (.914). He's third in RBI (26).
- Marc Stephens (Fr., Orange Beach, Ala./Gulf Shores) is seventh in the league in runs scored (21) and is ninth in walks (13).
