PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast didn't score in the 5:36 of the first half, allowing a big run by No. 7 Jones in a 67-54 loss at Dantzler Arena.
Jabbari Barry (So., Lake Charles, La./Barbe) was the only Bulldog in double digits, finishing with 16 points.
The Bobcats (16-3, 2-1 MACCC) scored the final 16 points of the half to take command and lead 40-23 at the break.
Gulf Coast (11-6, 1-2) got the deficit down to 12 with 5:14 left it the game but never got any closer.
The Bulldogs shot 28.1 percent from the field in the first half and 7-for-30 from the 3-point line for the game.
Gulf Coast makes the long trip to Moorhead on Thursday to play Mississippi Delta. Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
