Bracey named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week

PERKINSTON — Jalen Bracey has been named MGCCC Student-Athlete of the Week for Oct. 19-25. 

Bracey, a sophomore wide receiver from Jackson, had five catches for 122 yards and a touchdown in Gulf Coast's dominating 31-3 win at East Central. Bracey had a 48-yard touchdown reception, and he also had a 91-yard score called back by penalty.

Also nominated:

Hydee Barlow, a sophomore defensive tackle from Scott Central, had a great performance on the interior of the Gulf Coast line at East Central. He had seven total tackles, including two tackles for loss and a sack. Barlow also forced a fumble.

Caden Davis, a sophomore from Pearl, averaged 41.5 yards per punt and made all four PATs at East Central. He also had a 25-yard field goal.
