Agner, Henderson named Bulldogs of the Week
PERKINSTON — K.K. Agner and Drake Henderson have been named Bulldogs of the Week for March 29-April 4.
Agner, a freshman from Horn Lake, homered twice for No. 2 Gulf Coast in a split at No. 10 Jones. In the first game, her home run was the only run in a 9-1 defeat. In a 7-4 win, her three-run homer broke open the game early. She also singled and walked.
Henderson, a freshman left-hander from Sand Hill, struck out nine to beat Jones 4-2. He scattered eight hits and didn't walk a batter.

Anthony Ratliff, a sophomore forward from Terry, had 15 points and 12 rebounds in a 96-89 loss at Holmes in the Region 23 Tournament.
Nakyah Jones, a freshman forward from Mobile, had 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 58-46 loss at LSU Eunice in the Region 23 Tournament.
Abby Vance, a freshman right-hander from Calhoun City, threw a complete game for No. 2 Gulf Coast to beat No. 10 Jones 7-4 at Ellisville. She scattered seven hits.
Noah Blythe, a freshman from Lexington, Ky., had a game-tying homer in the seventh for Gulf Coast to spark a 4-2 win over Jones. He homered with one out in the final at-bat, and two batters later another two-run homer won the game. Blythe went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the first game, a 10-8 loss.
Seth Macute, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, won four matches for No. 13 Gulf Coast while dropping just one game. He won twice against Southwest Mississippi and twice against Holmes.
Kasey Kent, a freshman from Ridgeland, won both her matches against Southwest for No. 13 Gulf Coast while dropping just one game.
Isaiah Gore, a sophomore from Laurel, had two saves in No. 8 Gulf Coast's 3-1 win at Hinds.
Katie Brown, a freshman midfielder from Picayune, assisted on a pair of goals for Gulf Coast in a 3-0 win at Hinds.
Fabien Barker, a freshman from Madison, had a hat trick to account for all the goals in No. 8 Gulf Coast's 3-0 win over Hinds.
