Bulldogs post 3rd sweep of season
Mississippi Gulf Coast got its third 9-0 sweep of the young 2020 women's tennis season Tuesday, blanking East Central at Decatur.
The Bulldogs (5-0, 4-0 MACCC) have lost only two courts all season.
Krissy Georgieva (So., Epsom and Ewell High School/Sutton England) and Ally Bowen (Fr., Oxford/Lafayette County) won their No. 1 doubles match 8-2 and dropped only three games between them in straight-set wins at Nos. 1 and 2 singles.
Kaylen Bond (So., Stone/Perkinston) and Tia Topps (So., Grenada/Grenada) were also dominant in their singles matches.
Gulf Coast returns to the courts Friday with a trip to Holmes. First serves are set for noon.
