Gulf Coast swamps Co-Lin 7-2
Mississippi Gulf Coast got back on the winning track Tuesday, winning its women's tennis match 7-2 over Copiah-Lincoln in Wesson.
The Bulldogs bounced back from their first defeat of the season to improve 6-1 overall, 5-1 MACCC.
Gulf Coast won two doubles matches before cleaning up from No. 2 to No. 6 singles to clinch the win. Kasey Kent (Fr., Ridgeland/Ridgeland) was dominant at No. 3, not dropping a game in a straight sets win.
Kaylen Bond (So., Stone/Perkinston) won No. 4 singles while only dropping a single game. Ally Bowen helped claim two points, with a win at No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles.
Gulf Coast travels to Hinds on Friday. First serves are set for 1 p.m.
