MGCCC golfer signs with St Gregory's University

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College sophomore Danny De Los Santos has signed with St. Gregory's University in Oklahoma and will begin playing golf there in fall 2015. 

De Los Santos, a Lancaster, Texas, native, has established himself as one of the top junior college golfers while at MGCCC and is currently ranked No. 10 in NJCAA Division II.  He posted wins at the 2014 MACJC State Championship and the 2014 NJCAA Region 23 Championship. He finished with a fall 2014 scoring average of 72.6.

"Danny has been a solid player during his whole career with us and really stepped out front during post season play last spring, helping us win third place at the national tournament in May," said Tommy Snell, MGCCC golf coach.  "He has continued to work on putting and chipping and has improved both a great deal.  I expect him to do very well this spring, and next fall, he will contribute immediately to the program at St. Gregory's where they are developing an outstanding golf program."
