Motter named PING All-American
Mississippi Gulf Coast's Grant Motter was named to the NJCAA Division II PING All-American team. He also joined the Bulldogs' Danny De Los Santos, Phillip Hickam and George Kawell on the All-Central Region team, with Kawell picking up All-American Honorable Mention honors.
Motter won the MACJC and Region 23 tournaments, helping lead the Bulldogs to the national tournament, which starts Tuesday. He was more than two strokes better than all the state's golfers per round, winning the Hubert Tucker Award and four of six regular-season events.
The four golfers were part of Coach Tommy Snell's eighth straight Region 23 championship team.
