Redmond, Gore win MACJC Players of the Week
PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast swept the first set of MACJC Men's Soccer Player of the Week awards, with James Redmond claiming Player of the Week and Isaiah Gore winning Keeper of the Week.
Redmond, a freshman forward from Bremen, Germany, exploded onto the MGCCC scene in a 7-2 win over East Central when he scored four times and had two assists.
Gore, a freshman from Laurel, was spectacular in the first three games for, saving 16 of the 18 shots he's faced with a 0.73 goals-against average. He's 2-1, with the defeat coming in a 1-0 overtime loss to LSU Eunice. He picked up wins in East Central game and a 2-0 shutout at Jones.
