Bulldogs register 3rd straight shutout

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast won its third straight game in its home finale Sunday, beating Andrew College 2-0 at Bary Thrash Field.

Zach Seymour (Fr., St. Patrick/Gulfport) registered the shutout, which is also the third straight for the Bulldogs. Gulf Coast has outscored its opponents 5-0 in that span.

Peyton Younger (So., West Harrison/Gulfport) got the first goal, converting a deflection off a free-kick wall into an easy header in the 6th minute.

Deon Travis (Fr., Madison Central/Madison) closed out the scoring in the 88th minute with a bullet into the top corner.

Andrew falls to 1-13.

Gulf Coast (11-5) closes out regular-season play at LSU Eunice on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
