Men’s Soccer opens 2023 home slate Sept. 1

PERKINSTON — Coach Chris Handy's Mississippi Gulf Coast men's soccer team will start its 2023 season with a road trip to Texas.

The Bulldogs will play NJCAA Division I power Tyler on Aug. 25, followed by an exhibition game against NCAA Division II UT-Tyler the following. They open their home schedule Sept. 1 when Andrew College visits Bary Thrash Field. 

Gulf Coast will also play MACCC foes Southwest Mississippi on Sept. 5 and East Central three days later in non-conference action.

League action starts Sept. 15 with a trip to play archrival Pearl River, followed by the first home conference game three days later against Copiah-Lincoln. 

Gulf Coast opens MACCC play Sept. 15 against Pearl River at Poplarville then plays the first of six conference home games on Sept. 19. Copiah-Lincoln will visit Perk that day.

The postseason begins Oct. 28 with the NJCAA Gulf South District quarterfinals, which will be played at the higher-seeded team's campus. The semifinals will be Nov. 3, with the finals on Nov. 5.
