Moerck scores MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — For the second week in a row, Mississippi Gulf Coast has an MACCC Men's Soccer Player of the Week.
Victor Moerck won the award this week after helping No. 17 Gulf Coast win two more games. The freshman forward from Vaerloese, Denmark, scored three more times.
He had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Copiah-Lincoln, then scored twice in a 4-0 victory over Meridian. He has five goals in the last three games.
David Ruiz Ospina was named conference Keeper of the Week the week before. The Bulldogs have won three such awards this year. Kade Smith picked up an offensive honor earlier this season.
Moerck is eligible for the NJCAA weekly award, which will be handed out Wednesday.
