No. 19 Bulldogs open MACCC play vs. PRCC

PERKINSTON — No. 19 Mississippi Gulf Coast is in the NJCAA rankings for the second week, and the Bulldogs open MACCC play Friday against a dangerous team that's not currently ranked.

Gulf Coast travels to play archrival Pearl River. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. in Poplarville. The game will be streamed at https://PRCCMedia.com/Gold, with tickets available at https://PRCCAthletics.com/Tickets.

The Wildcats started the season ranked 13th but have lost three straight to drop from the poll. They defeated the University of Mobile 3-1 in an exhibition last Friday.

  • MGCCC pulled away from East Central in the second half to win 4-1 at Perk last Friday. Four different Bulldogs scored.

Previous Meeting

On Nov. 4, 2022, Gulf Coast and Pearl River met in the Gulf South District semifinals at Ellisville. The Wildcats scored 45 seconds into the first overtime to win 1-0.
