Smith scores MACCC Player of the Week
PERKINSTON — For the second time this season, Mississippi Gulf Coast's Kade Smith has scored MACCC Offensive Player of the Week.
The freshman forward from London, England, had two goals in each of two games for the now-No. 16 Bulldogs.
Smith had a pair of goals in a 4-0 win at Northwest Mississippi, and both goals in a 2-0 win at East Central. He is now second in the MACCC with nine goals this season.
It's the third time a Bulldog has won weekly conference honors. David Ruiz Ospina (Fr., Manizales, Colombia/Gimnasio del Pacifico) earning Keeper of the Week earlier in the season.
