No. 17 Gulf Coast tries to move to 2-0

PERKINSTON — No. 17 Mississippi Gulf Coast will play its first home MACCC men's soccer game Tuesday when Copiah-Lincoln visits.

Kickoff at Bary Thrash Field is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and tickets are available at http://mgcccbulldogs.com/tickets. The game will be streamed at https://mgcccbulldogs.com/watch.

The Bulldogs moved up two spots in the latest NJCAA Division II Rankings, released Monday.

  • MGCCC: 3-1-2/1-0 MACCC, T-1st place in conference
  • Copiah-Lincoln: 0-3-2/0-1 MACCC, T-7th place in conference

Last Time Out

  • MGCCC beat Pearl River 4-1 at Poplarville on Friday. Victor Moerck (Fr., Vaerloese, Denmark/Lyngby Handelsgymnasium) had two goals.
  • Co-Lin lost 2-0 to Hinds in Raymond on Friday.

Previous Meeting

On Sept. 30, 2022, Gulf Coast and Co-Lin tied 1-1 in Wesson. Mason Shortt (Fr., Brandon/Northwest Rankin) had the only goal for the Bulldogs, who played most of the second half and overtime with 10 players.
