Bulldogs lose again in Florida

A cold-shooting first half did in Mississippi Gulf Coast in its second game of the Milton H. Johnson Classic in Marianna, Fla., on Saturday. The Bulldogs lost 85-69 to Gulf Coast State, another Panhandle power.

Jabbari Barry (Fr., Lake Charles La./Barbe) again led the Bulldogs with 18 points, including 4-of-9 shooting from the 3-point line.

Gulf Coast made only 1-of-12 attempts from behind the arc in the first half and trailed by 13 at the break.

Jabarie Robinson (So., Raymond/Raymond) had 12 points, and Duran Parish (Fr., Biloxi/Biloxi) added 10 off the bench. Anthony Robinson (So., Long Beach/Long Beach) led the team with eight rebounds.

Gulf Coast returns to action after the Thanksgiving Break with a short trip to Poplarville. The rivalry with Pearl River resumes Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.
