A cold-shooting night behind the arc did in Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday. The Bulldogs lost to MACCC-leading Jones 87-59 at Ellisville.
Omarion Smith (So., Atlanta Ga./Douglas County) had a 10-point, 12-reobund double-double. John Davis (So., Pascagoula/Pascagoula) came off the bench to score 12 points.
Gulf Coast (10-6, 2-2 MACCC) made just 5 of 27 shots from the 3-point line and shot 32.3 percent from the field.
Jones (17-3, 4-0) shot nearly 46 percent from the 3-point line and more than 53 percent from the field.
