Bulldogs lose twice at No. 10 Jones

Mississippi Gulf Coast lost a pair of run-rule softball games Wednesday at No. 10 Jones. 

The Bobcats won the first game 14-5 in five innings and closed it out with a 10-2 win in six in the nightcap.

Gulf Coast falls to 23-15 overall, 6-6 in MACCC play.

K.K. Agner (So., Horn Lake/Magnolia Heights) was the only Bulldog with two hits in the first game, and she hit a fifth-inning grand slam for her first home run since March 10. Agner has 11 on the season, which is tied for 11th in the NJCAA.

Kamryn LaFosse (Fr., Lake Charles, La./Sam Houston) had a two-run homer for all the Bulldogs offense in the second game. She has seven. Jett Harrell (Fr., Clarksdale/Lee Academy) had two hits.

Jones is now 25-6, 10-2.

Gulf Coast will be back on the road Saturday with a trip to Scooba. First pitch against East Mississippi is set for 1 p.m.
