Bulldogs aim to strengthen grip on 2nd

PERKINSTON — Mississippi Gulf Coast will try to bounce back from its first conference loss of the women's basketball season Monday.

A Bulldogs win over Northeast Mississippi would help break up a five-way tie for second in the MACCC, with both teams in that group. Tipoff at Dantzler Arena is set for 5:30 p.m.

  • Dekyra Mitchell (Fr., Durant/Holmes County) is second in the conference averaging 15.2 points. She ranks third in 3-point shooting (39.2 percent) and fourth in 3-pointers (31).
  • Taelar Felton (Fr., Clinton/Clinton) is third in the MACCC in free-throw shooting (82.7 percent) and fourth in free throws made (62). She's fourth in assists (55) and eighth in scoring (14.0 ppg).
