Felton named All-Region 23
PERKINSTON — Taelar Felton added another honor to her resume Wednesday when she was named to the All-NJCAA Region 23 Team.
Felton, a speedy 5-foot-3 guard from Clinton, led the Bulldogs in scoring with 14.2 points per game, sixth best in the MACCC. She grabbed 5.3 rebounds and dished out 3.8 assists while nabbing 2.3 steals per game. Felton handed out the sixth-most helpers and was the seventh-biggest thief in the league.
She was third in the conference with 114 made free throws, and she shot 77.0 percent, which was fourth-best. Felton made 16 of 17 free throws in a 28-point performance to help beat Calhoun 79-74 in November.
Felton scored 20 or more points four times, including a 35-point explosion in a New Year's Eve game against Miami Dade.
