In the final game of the Bulldog Invitational, Gulf Coast trailed 49-33 heading into the final 10 minute. Allison Irby (Fr., Olive Branch/Lewisburg) hit a bucket with 57.6 second left to make it 58-55.
After a pair of empty trips, Gulf Coast had four fouls to give. They quickly used three before the Cardinals (10-2) forced up a shot. Gulf Coast rebounded with 7.7 left and called time.
After advancing the ball to the front court, the Bulldogs (5-5) weren't able to get a 3-pointer off.
