Bulldogs lose to No. 2 NWFS

Mississippi Gulf Coast got off to a slow start Saturday against No. 2 Northwest Florida State and lost 73-38 in Pensacola, Fla.

The Bulldogs didn't get on the scoreboard for more than five minutes and struggled offensively in their final game at the Pensacola State Thanksgiving Classic.

Gulf Coast (5-3) was led by Lamarah Cleaves (Fr., Tupelo/Tupelo), who had eight points.

The Bulldogs wound up with a split in the two-day event, having beaten host Pensacola State 62-53 on Friday.

They'll be off until the Bulldog Invitational, which will be played at Perkinston on Dec. 12-13. Gulf Coast will play Tyler on the opening day of the two-day event, and Trinity Valley for the final game before Christmas.
